I'm an undergrad marketing student and I'm trying to find a strong advisor who really knows what he is talking about and can help me make the transition into the workforce. Would you suggest they may be wiser if they are also teaching the MBA level marketing courses? Also is it better if they've had experience in the real world of marketing too? Thanks!

I think that a person who has life experience in the "real world" of marketing is going to give more accurate advice. It could be an undergraduate even, but if they actually have experience then what they are telling you is based on something real rather than being based on what they think it might be like.
