I've always wanted the towers back. The more they try to memorialize the towers, the more oppressive the site becomes.

But the rocket launchers wouldn't work. You're too close to Newark Airport, Kennedy Airport, and La Guardia. There are also several general avaition airports in the NYC area, including Teterboro Airport, seaplane bases in Jersey City and Seacaucus, and heliports on the Hudson and East Rivers. The Hudson corridor is trafficked by tourist planes, blimps, news helicoptors, and police helicoptors. When the navy occasionally brings an aircraft carrier to town, there are flybys by military aircraft. And the missiles would necessarily drop debris on about 4 million people living and working within a 1 mile radius. An air defense system is inconcievable.

i'd build the towers on the same site with the same blueprints. the only difference i would do is to leave the original footprints of the towers as a memorial garden for all of the lost and put the new towers in different locations, but on the same property

the rocket launchers are a real good idea too.

I'm not cool with fully automated rocket launchers. Best to keep a human in the loop in case a medical chopper is in the airspace or something.

Correction: I am cool with automated rocket launchers--just not in the middle of American cities.

Sounds great. I was hoping they would catch Osama and put him in a jail cell on the top of it...just in case another attempt is made

They would have to test fire it for accuracy.
