I have a friend that lives in Valdosta, GA... I suggest checking out: http://www.valdosta.edu/ or check facebook.com for people that attended there and maybe you can get their input on it. Good luck!

I formerly taught in the Georgia University System. Valdosta State is a medium-sized college which received university status a few years ago. Valdosta is located in the south-southeast portion of Georgia. One of my former faculty co-workers taught there. Being a smaller college, you would receive better attention from the faculty than you would at, say, the University of Georgia (where I received my first Ph.D. degree). On the downside, Valdosta does not have a large Asian community aside from students, so you might be a little lonely. When I taught at Bainbridge College (just west of Valdosta) in the 1980s, my wife was one of only two Asians in the entire town. Valdosta is a little bigger, but you won't find a lot of Japanese there. I think you would like the university and area, with that one proviso. Good luck on your further education!

Yeah, it's still there, I'm pretty sure. As an undergrad at Auburn University (1961-66) I played in bands that played jobs over there...why don't u contact the school - we used 2 hafta write 4 a catalog of courses & degrees offered..I'll bet u could phone 'em, or email 'em requesting the same info & have them send u a hard-copy of their catalog. Or maybe they're downloading that data direct 2 u, They probably have a "dot org" (.org) address, as they are a learning institution/ORGANIZATION. It should b easy to get their address w/a search of ur own.
