When I was 8 years old, I ran out into the street like dumb little kids do, and was struck on the head by a truck. The impact was so hard that it threw me flying into the air. I don't know how, but I survived. Now that I'm older, I wonder if there was a reason why I was allowed to live, if maybe there is a reason or purpose for my life. Strangely enough, I believe that an angel lifted me up out of the way so that I wouldn't get killed. Is it weird to believe in angels? I feel that they are all around us.

The experience has taught me to live for the moment. Appreciate the people and things happening now. Choose life for the positive. Don't fill up my life with the negative. We really do not know the day or the hour when we will die.

Strange, that the angel didn't just make sure you were not there in time to be hit. Guess they didn't like you that much. Could have pulled you back from out of the street before the car hit you at all, but was like "wait for it...NOW"

My whole youth and through young adulthood was a close call with dying. I think many people will have had smiliar expereinces or close calls. I don't know if you can draw a special conclusion from a common type of expereince.

A few years back, I nearly died from alcohol poisoning. The only change that has occurred has come from within i.e. acting responsible when drinking hard liquor.
