how to repair it

You cant. Hair is an accumulation of dead cells and it can't repair itself. You can buy conditioners that make it appears less noticeable, but it only temporally sticks them together... probably with wax.

The very best thing anyone can do for split ends, is have them cut off. Once the hair begins the split can either continue up the hair, then the weaker half can fall off leaving the thin half hanging at the end. They create more damage and results in breakage. Often, people who complain about split ends find their hair grows longer, thicker, and looks better when they start to have their ends cut off regularly.

Hair grows an average of 1/2" each month. If someone gets their end cut at 1/2" every 2 months, they still gain. The difference is that they will eventually have all their split end gone, and grow a healthy head of hair.

You should heat some coconut oil in a bowl and do a scalp massage once a week. Sleep with it on and wash it in the morning. Another alternative is applying Indian Oil for the hair, once a week, and let it stay for as long as possible.
