I don't know, but I think we are much closer to the end of time than we are to the beginning of it.

In the book of Revelations, it does predict that we are living in the end of times now. Israel had to become a state, which it has. We are seeing floods, all sorts of natural disasters, claiming hundreds of thousands of lives. Many will put this down to global warming....maybe partly so but was that part of the plan???, for man to ignore the damage he was doing to his world and suffer.
I believe there will be a false prophet - as far as a false religion, yes there are some according to Christianity but when you check out some of these "christian ministers on TV" that preach you should be rich, that's what God wants etc...I think they are edging toward being that false God. I think God would want us to feed the starving children, take care of the homeless and make sure everyone has a home. Not all of us drive Mercedes and live in million dollar homes.
We can't stop the rapture, just prepare ourselves...it's destiny. It could happen today or next year, who knows, but I will bet I see it in my lifetime (and I probably have at least 35-40 years left).

reality is a mind set , if everyone thinks the world will fall into ruins cause of wars , we will tend to work for that end. people say that the second coming of Christ marks the end of the world , but it doesn't, it marks a 1000 years of peace , with Jesus sitting as ruler , so the bible says, and it also says there will be a anti Christ that will take power clamming he is king of kings and lord of lords and many shall be fooled! so the bible says. i think people controll destiny , are future is what we make it , if we sitting around waiting for the end of the world as we know it to happen , sooner or later it will, if we as a race of humans would put down are hate are fears and are greed , we could turn this planet in to a garden once again, but as long as we put all are efforts into killing and destroying , nothing good will ever become of mankind. we need to start thinking as a race of human not 60 some country's each doing there own thing , if we took the money the united states is spending in middle east and turned it around we could end world hunger and homelessness and hopelessness , but as long as the greedy are in power we will continue to spin down that dark whole of destruction and hopelessness.

There's no way to know. Jesus told us that we would not know the day or the hour.
He also told us that we would see bad things going on in the world -- and though we would be naturally tempted to think that these are signs of "the end," we shouldn't jump to conclusions.
These things, He said, are bound to happen, but they don't mean the end.
The Son of Man will come, Jesus said, at an hour when we least expect.
So, if anything, the presence of "false gods" and everything else probably means that the end is NOT near -- because we'd be expecting it in such circumstances, but Jesus said it would happen when we DON'T expect it.

I don't think so. As for a false religion? Well, I think I've seen every religion called false, here in R&S. And exactly what years were they that had this peace and harmony you write of?

This end of this wicked system will not be delayed. Jehovah God has allowed the issue of his sovereignty, which Satan thru Adam and Eve started to finally be concluded. Man has repeatedly demonstrated that he only exploits his fellowman and cannot be trusted with either governing or judge his fellowman. This will be entrusted into God's sons hands. This govt will be called Gods Kingdom.

Why would you want to avoid the Armageddon? God will take over and fix things and get rid of all the pain and injustices. I pray it will come soon for we Are living in the last days-not the end of times-the last days of this system of things. Rejoice brother.

Matthew 24 reads like today's headlines. Yes, I'd say we are very near the end of the age. Just be sure you are ready, and the "end" won't be a problem for you. (See John, chapter 3.)

From the amount of times I have seen this question asked lately, it seems more like we are living in a repetitive loop rather than moving on with our lives.

People have been claiming the end was near for hundreds of years. Just live your life, and when judgement day comes, you'll go where you go.
