The two institutions are autonomous. But of course, The Chief Justice is apponited with the pleasure of the President. So he [the President] is superior. It depends how it is provided in the Constitution of Pakistan that whether the President can remove the Chief Justice or not and if he [the President] can then what procedure needs to be followed. But certainly it can not be due the whims and fancy of the President.
