the best way and doing it this way you will get the best result from any joint, first boil the meat 1 .5 hours should do.
buy dripping from the butcher !!thats the beef fat!!
because you lose this in the water, prepare the baking tray warm up almost too hot to touch and put in the dripping,
after the meat is done take it out of the pan and place in a baking tray, get the oven really hot before you put the tray in check the beef every 10 mins to baste,( get a spoon and pour the hot fat from the baking tray and pour over the meat)
in 3/4 of an hour you will have a really suculent tasty beef Joint.
This method is good for any meat Joint, you can make a fantastic gravy from the water that the joint was boiled in,

In a covered roasting pot , and slow, gas mark 3 for 1 and half hours per kg , turn every 25 minutes , check with a knife if it goes right through with out too much pressure its ready, save the drippings put into Pyrex jug in the fridge , this will separate out with beef fat on top , this is ideal for next lot of roast spuds and the bottom separation add to next gravy
