Sure, you can buy a nice, used, sporty car for $10k. What you get depends on how used you want. You can buy an 8-10 year old BMW 3 or maybe even 5 series for that kind of money. A Mazda Miata could be had if you want a convertible. An older Nissan 300ZX would also be an option. Get on autotrader.com and search for coupes or convertibles in your area, and see which you think you might like. Then go drive them all, and decide which might be the best for you. Good luck, and enjoy your new car!

$10,000 may get you a good used car, but if you want a new one, that much would only be a very nice down payment.

Better still, put $5,000 down on the car, and use the other $5,000 getting a good education in Real Estate Investing. One good deal in RE could pay off that car note with change left over, if you know how to do it.

depends on if you're going to take out a loan or not, you can put down 10k and take out a loan to get a better car say at 20k or if you only want to spend 10k and pay that in cash then you dont have many choices.

you're arranged to spend as much as $50,000 to purchase a automobile, yet you haven't any longer any clue what's available? you're a automobile salesman's moist dream. What you're asking is very subjective, what one individual thinks is an surprising automobile won't be an surprising automobile to somebody else.
