It depends. Because some programs install just on the location you point (and in this case you can install it on the flash drive and use it on any computer), but when you install certain programs (more complicated) they put some files in the Windows directory too, so you will only be able to use those programs on the computer you install them from. So the best thing you can do is to try and see.. Good luck!

Depending on the type of software. There are versions of Linux that run off a flashdrive. For the most part the answer is no due to the fact that when software is installed, files and pointers are added to the registry that direct the operating system where to find the files needed for the program to run. If installed on an external drive or a flash drive, then that program will only run on that computer.

as long as the flash drive is recognized by the os, you can install programs on a flash drive and run them.....as a matter of fact there is a full suite of office programs and an email and browser program that all fit on a flash drive....its open office so its open source and free.

I have a full Linux OS on a 2g Flash Drive, so yes, I think you can, any legal stuff like license keys and stuff you almost need a lawyer, but yes it can and is done.

it is possible, but you will have to include the registry as most programs require that to work. just find the registry keys and save them on the same disk and you should be ok.
