Shimano Folding Bike gear problems?

I have a Shimano City and Mountain Folding Bike with 5 gears. The low gears do not function they seem to be mis-aligned, only the 4th or 5th gears work OK. Any suggestions gratefuly received, apart from going back to the vendor. Thanks.

Sounds like you need a derailliuer adjustment. Go to Shimano's webiste, for info. Or take it to a mechanic to get reviewed.

If the shifter is moving and the derailleur is not reacting then your cable is probably way too loose.
