I've started a less than 800cal a day diet with a reasonable amount of excercise.I don't feel hungry after this. Here is a basic plan of what I eat:

-171 calories breakfast of Special K 35g with 125 ml of semi skimmed milk
-171 calories lunch of Special K 35g with 125ml of semi skimmed milk
-Dinner really varies but it must be 458 calories or less. I normally have a half tin of chicken noodle soup which is 55 calories,or a piece of chicken and some peas, which come to 180 calories, but some nights i have both and that comes to me having eaten 577 calories if i have both and that is for the whole day. I am a size UK 12 (US 8) but i want to be a UK 8.

i am no expert, but as it is an opinion you are after i would say that no it isnt enough... and if you eat so few calories your body will start to think it is starvation mode and weight will become harder to lose. what about eating double the amount of calories, with more fruit and veg (bananas are about 100 calories each) so at least you will get more vitamins and carry on with exercise too.

Hi, this amount is too low. I would say 1000 to 1500 calories minimum. if you eat too little, your body goes into starvation mode and will store fat more readily. Also, if you start eating normally again after your diet, you will put the weight back on. There seems to be quite a lack of fresh fruit and veggies in your diet, so you possibly won't be getting a balanced diet with all the nutrients that your body needs. If you up your exercise by a little bit, this will increase your matabolism and have the same effect of eating less calories becasue you will burn more. Size 12 seems a good size to be. Are you sure you want to be a size 8? You may be pushing your body to be a size it naturally doesn't want to be.

The best way to loose weight when you are allready slim is excercise. Stick to about 1500 cals a day and do about an hour of cardio like spinning 4 times a week and you will see results. You may noe be built to be a size 8 so don't overdo it. try for a size 10 but if you do this and don't loose any weight in a month then you're just not built to be that slim.

Also, remeber - most men prefer a woman with some curves.

800 calories isn't enough for anyone. You will make yourself ill.
When you don't eat enough, you loose alot of your muscle which will really slow down your metabolism.
A UK 12 is a nice size so take it slow.
If you loose the weight too fast, it is unlikely to stay off. I'm guessing that you won't be able to eat so little every day for the rest of your life and as soon as you eat normal, the weight (and probably more) will go straight back on.
I think you should go and visit a trained nutritionist so they can set up a healthy plan for you to loose this weight and keep it off.

Please don't do this, it is way too little calories to be healthy and you're not eating enough fruit and veg. A UK 12 is a great size but I also wanted to go down a bit from that i'm now a 10 and I did it with weightwatchers. Brilliant, healthy way of losing weight and you're monitored so little chance of going silly. You need to be sensible and not cut down so drastically as you will begin to store more fat when you go back to a normal amount of calories. If you exercise you need to up your food intake slightly anyway to allow your body to burn properly. Try visiting www.weightwatchers.co.uk . The slower you lose the weight the more likely it is to stay off. Good luck!!

Not really. Stick to 1500 at least with a hour exercise a day and you will notice a difference in no time. You should aim to be healthy rather than thin in my book. Your diet does not contain enough vitamins and minerals, try a balanced eating plan and you should feel alot better.

No it is not. As soon as you finish your diet and increase the number of calories back the weight will go on and more, just in case your body thinks it will get starved again.

Try a healthy balanced diet with no calorie counting and drinking plenty of water.

There is no such thingas dieting, it should be a lifestyle change in order to keep the weight off.

hi, this is bad

a recommended calorie intact for an adult woman should be between 1500-2000 a day. otherwise the body will slowing start shutting itself down and you will cause yourself all kinds of unnecessary health problems.

firstly i appreciate you want to loose weight but i'm sure if you do exercise and other daily activities you are starving you body. do you know what anorexia is.

it already sounds like you are psychologically conditioning yourself into acepting that this is enough to eat because you want to loose weight. i say that because you say you dont feel hungry after eating to little and having reasonable exercise. after developing a routine with that kind of diet you stomach will progressively become "smaller" making it difficult for you to increase your intake as you will often feel sick because you feel like you are forcing yourself to eat and feel over full. theres also alot of other negative side effects of this kind of diet - you may become anemic (feel tired), blood sugar lowers, blood pressure lowers, organ failure (in extreme cases), depression which makes it a whole lot worse.

the only positive thing that will come out of this is you will lose the weight but with consequences like these believe its not near worth it.

talk to a nutritionist as they can provide loads of good healthy alternatives and work out an exercise plan with our local gym.

exercising is supposed to open your appetite as you burn energy whilst doing so, so taking 800 cal is really not enough

what's so significant approximately dropping a speedy 1lb which will come genuine back on beacuse you're getting weighed? who's weighing you? If it is your wellbeing care provider, you are able to say no, you already know? you are the affected person. 800 energy for in basic terms 3 days shouldn't possibly injury you whether that is extraordinarily stupid and could lead directly to behaviors like that in the process the long-term that would injury you.

If you thought the answer was yes you would have not felt the need to ask the question! You are starving your body and this will have negative effects when you end your diet. Eat healthily and take regular excercise. Lose no more than 2lbs per week!
. At size 12 you are hardly fat anyway!! Good luck xx
