It is not Tagalog. It is Cebuano. The dead give away is the word "mani" or "kini". It means "this is..." Like the phrase "Si kinsa mani" or "Kinsa kini" which means "Who is this". Where is that person from? The use of the word "mani" is more used in Cebuano speakers in Mindanao than in the Visayas. Same language different usage.

"Kuya mani" means "This is your elder brother". If it was Tagalog, it should have been "Kuya ito". Using the Tagalog terms like "Kuya" (elder brother) and "Ate" (elder sister) is quite popular now in Cebuano regions for unknown reasons.

KUYA is an older brother. You add it in front of the person's name as a sign of respect.
MANI means peanut. Both are in Tagalog.

I'll assume what you might have heard was "Kuya Manny" which means that the person, Manny is the older brother.

For female, ATE is the older sister.

it could be tagalog
kuya-brother
mani-peanut
if you say "kuya mani" you could be asking your brother for a peanut or your brother's name might be mani so you call them kuya mani

it's definitely tagalog
it is a way to address others in your family or even close friends
kuya means big brother (can use when talking to someone slightly older than you)
fyi:
ate means big sister (same)
anak means child can (use when talking to someone younger)

mani does mean peanut, so it must be that person's nickname.
