In order to register an imported dog with the Kennel Club the dog must already be registered in its country of origin. The Kennel Club will normally only accept for registration dogs from overseas countries where the Kennel Club has a reciprocal agreement with the overseas Kennel Club or from countries which have full membership, associate membership or contract partnership of the FCI. To import a dog from any other country permission may have to be sought from the General Committee before the dog is imported. Application for registration must be made on a Kennel Club Form 4 and the following must accompany the application:

A certified pedigree (or photocopy) issued by the appropriate overseas Kennel Club.

Certification of pedigree by VDH (Germany only).

A registration certificate issued by the overseas Kennel Club in the owner's name (Australia, USA, Canada, Denmark, Guernsey, Jersey and Ireland).< http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/366

I don't think that the Kennel Club has a reciprical agreement with the Polish KC, but you would have to check with them whether your dog could be registered or not. There are plenty of breed clubs for GSds in this country - they are all listed at the bottom of this page:

(some of the clubs cater more for the "German" type & others for the "English" type - you'd have to do your research)
Good Luck

the american Kennel club isn't any "extra effective" than the Continental Kennel club. human beings get this concept of their minds because of the fact AKC is a lot older and purely distinctive. human beings like to attack CKC without kind of smart info or components (word no person above had any valid components)... i ask your self why? because of the fact those are rumors. permit me provide you a extra effective, extra balanced answer than a number of those... others who needless to say have no concept what they're speaking approximately. AKC is a CLOSED registry. this means that a canines can in straight forward terms be registered if its mothers and dads have been registered. because of the fact all purebreds come from an identical gene pool, there are various wellness issues. in addition they in straight forward terms settle for 177 breeds, meaning they're unique. So in case you desire to reproduce, permit's say, an American bulldog, you're out of success with AKC. CKC is an OPEN registry. they're lots extra inclusive. They know over 450 breeds, alongside with blended clothier breeds. i won't be able to have faith anybody is asserting "mutts" should not be bred... So even although those are tremendously wanted breeds, they might desire to no longer be bred because of the fact there are already "mutts" accessible? that's a ludicrous assertion. Breeders must be waiting to have administration over the visual attraction and temperament of blended breeds purely like purebreds. Oh, and by making use of the way, the "purebreds" that AKC registers... do you think of they have been around constantly? NOPE. All breeds are technically blended breeds. additionally, permit me purely say that papers are actually not ALL approximately breeding and pedigrees. there are various different reward to having registration on your canines. evidence of possession and id, discounted components and products to your canines, tutorial components, etc. there's a reason that's referred to as a club. And for the guy who's dogging (no pun meant) CKC for registering canines without previous registration, they did this to grant canines proprietors and breeders a harm. Say you're a breeder and your place burns down. which would be a very tragic time for you, yet in addition, the papers on your canines are all destroyed. In yet another registry, you would be out of success without thank you to get certificates to your canines. yet CKC knows issues like this. So specific, CKC registers canines without previous registration. Do they no longer deserve it? sounds like a gaggle of AKC snobs to me who think of their way is the only way.

Contact the AKC to find out the paper work that will be needed... It can be extensive plus they now require DNA tests on imported dogs.
