He acuses me of all kind of false acusations, lies, and mis-truths just to manipipulate me. It's getting harder and harder to be his friend.

I know exactly what you are going through. I recently searched for Al-Anon info on the net. I am reluctant to attend a meeting face to face because I live in such a small town, I am not quite ready for everyone to know my business. There are many sites that provide formal meetings in chat rooms. They even have non-formal chat rooms where you can just talk to others about their experiences and ask questions. Just search under Al-Anon meetings or chat. Give it a try. The people are very nice and will give some very valuable advice there.

well, if u arent willing to help, u should let them be. Addicts come in all shapes and sizes, and we as humans dont have to be addicted to drugs ONLY! An addict abuses people, places, and things, drugs, children, and not necessarily at the same time. Tell him how u feel, but also tell them, u are only bringing this up cause u care... NOT because u are being judgmental. If they accept your criticism, than it may be worth the wait. Just sit this one out, he will see that there is a problem, and maybe he should slow down. But if they get all UNRULY, and start to totally bug out... u know he is too far gone for u to help, and he should seek a professional.

Sometimes you just have to call a "spade a shovel" and move on to healthy people. If he were in need of help and willing to accept help from you that would be different but the way that it is now is intolerable. Tell him you are moving on and why. The ball will be in his court and that will determine whether you remain friends.
