so i was having a long distance relationship with my bf for a year and a half.

when i was away from him, he was confused once in a while for his feelings.

but everytime when we met again, we were just madly in love again, and he took care of me alot alot, gave me all his attention even his friends were around, very sweet and caring..

but when i'm back to my own country, he just doesnt know how to handle it and give me care... from time to time, he thought that he has just lost his love feelings for me, finally he broke up with me 3 weeks ago.

so im just wondering how important the "distance" is for this break-up. Does he lose feelings for me BECAUSE i'm far? Will his feelings be back if im close again? what's 'love' for guys? if he is in love with me when im near but loses feelings when im far, is it love? is this physical and face-to-face contacts so important for guys??? should i fly to see him now to have a last try?

How important? Its everything. A relationship has to have a physical component to sustain it. There are some things you just can not fake.

For two people in love, distance should never be a problem. Most long distance relationships fail because either one or both does not have complete trust with the partner.

I am in a long distance relationship for three years now and I could say that it was never an easy road. We had a lot of ups and downs, but constant communication kept our relationship going. Whenever we have chances to be together, we make the most out of it.

I suggest that you talk to him first about your problem just to make sure that is it really the distance that lead to the break up. If it is so, and you both think that it is worth giving a second try, then go for it.

I used to have a long distance relationship too. And i know that every time that i had the chance to see him again, it was like falling in love all over again. and every time the feeling was stronger, then a few months later things did begin to change. and i lost trust in him. I think its different for everyone, some people can handle it and some people just cant. I think if you were closer to him it would make things better and easier, now that is if the distance is why he broke up with you. Or was it something else?

Face to face contact is all for me.

I hate talking on the phone, and a computer or text message conversation isnt nearly enough as talking and being together in person.

Whats the point anyways? long distance means out of touch.

i just recently started to get to know my girl face to face and not on the phone or online and it feels so much better, you can be more comfortable around them. even just 3 hours talking face to face will make you feel much better around them.

my girl i use to be nervous to eat around now i can eat like a pig and not care cause she'll be doing it too.

good luck.
