To help you through panic attacks, while in the hospital I was shown something you can do.
http://www.borderlinepersonality.ca/dbt.htm
Under skills training, the best pdf is the Distress Tolerance.
This website is useful for panic disorders as well as BPD.

Ive noticed if I get them I am usually sitting down or concentrating to hard on something, what I do before it gets too bad is stand up take my pulse to reassure me everything is OK and start walking, take a nice power walk or Jog and free your mind of everything, try to stay away from xanax, klonapin and ativan as they are addictive substances that just cover up the problem, also work on some breathing exercises don't forget your brain needs air to function properly. When I get them I allways realize after that I was tensed up and not breathing properly.

Some say breathe into a paper bag for 10 - 15 seconds. Others repeat their mantra, or just the word: "easy, easy, easy, easy...................." See http://www.anxietypanic.com/signs.html and http://www.deepsloweasy.com/html/intro.htm (intro.htm) Try nettle tea.
