If you want to go BOOM BOOM then a 100w amp aint going to cut it.

To make it as loud as possible then you need to know all about ohms and how to get the most out of your amp.

Audiobahn makes good subwoofer amps that put out more power than their rating. You can get a audiobahn amp with 2700 rms watts for just a few hundred dollars.

Dont worry about extra batteries and frying your alt. Get a good quality capacitor to store power for the amp to use. Audiobahn also makes one of the largest capacitors with 15 farads.

Read up and learn how to wire it up, or have a pro do it. Just make sure you dont underpower the woofers or skip on the wiring and add ons.

I have had a system of this size running in my truck for the last 2 years with no problems at.

Any stereo amp with 100 watts (that's honest Watts, not some bogus rating on a cheap amp) per channel should work fine. Connect each driver to one channel. Feed with a mono input to both channels. If you use a much larger amp you may end up frying alternators in a Ford. The 1500W rating on the sub is just for a single peak for a short period of time. Be careful because even with 100 Watts per driver you might fry the drivers. The amp should have a setting for limiting the frequency response on the input for use as a sub driver. If it doesn't, a simple R-C filter on the input will also work.

I have had great results from running Alpine amps in the past and I suggest that you seriously take the top line Alpine amps into consideration. Alpine speakers - Alpine amp, makes logical sense to me. Best of luck. Look after your pony!

AudioBling amps are crap! Capacitors are a waste of money! Do the Big3 upgrade (power wire from alt. to batt., ground from batt. to frame, ground from frame to engine block) in 4g or bigger wire and you can install a 2000wrms amp no problem! Capacitors are only good for power fluctuations of -up to- .01 volt. Not doing any good but making things look better. Please get something like Eclipse, Alpine, or Hifonics - all are great for price. Loud and Clear.

you didnt say if they are the dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm model but basically an amp that is 500 watts per channel should do go to onlinecarstereo.com to find the amp good prices, free shipping on orders over $100 and they have reviews.

You have a Mustang, instead of worring about getting an amp, worry about getting a diffrent car.
