while it's healing or just in general?
you should wash it with antibacterial soap while it is healing. after that i really don't know. i don't use anything special. i just wash my skin like its.... skin. and keep it moisturized.

I agree with somebody... while it's healing you need to stick to a sensible aftercare regime as recommended by your artist. After it's healed, it's just skin - the tattoo isn't on the surface, but below it - and no type of soap or cleanser is going to be anywhere near the ink, or make any difference to it.
Hope this helps!

use and unscented sensative skin soap! Unscented Dove soap is very good. try not to use the bar soaps though. liquid soaps are more santitary. The surface area on a bar of soap holds more germs. After you clean the tattoo pat dry then put a thin layer of A&D ointment over it. Vitamins A&D both help the skin to heal itself healthier.

The artist who did my tattoo told me to use Noxzema or apricot scrub on my tattoo once a week. It keeps the pores clean and healthy and keeps it from fading. I have had my tat for three years and it still looks like I just had it done.

For both of my tats, my artist had me use Tattoo Goo, which i think is awesome stuff. it comes in a gel like substance to keep it moisturized, and also in an antibacterial soap. as far as i know, you can get it from tattoo places, but i'm not sure if it can be found anywhere else.

This wonderful spray called H2Ocean. I have used it on my four tattoos and all six piercings, it doesn't hurt and it's natural for your body. Also, to stop fading, put sunBLOCK on it while in the sun, not sunSCREEN. Just like with carpet or walls, tattoos can fade in the sun, and you can really tell when the tan goes away.

Use soft soap until they are healed after that your good to go. If you had A good artist, you shouldn't have a fading problem.

Dr. Bronner's pure Castille soap helped mine heal nicely (it works well for cleaning piercings as well). Just don't use the peppermint one! It's important to keep it moisturized (but not overly so) and sun-blocked at all times! Lubriderm with SPF, which kills two birds with one stone, also worked well for me.

the sun is what makes tats fade.

Tatoos can't fade unless you mean fake tatoos.
