Well, not meaning to be jealous here... but the mail you must have recieved from the lottery agency that you won is all fake... yeah i mean it... its fake... once u provide all ur details they ask for a fee... around 500 pounds for taxes and stuff... then delivery charges, then bank fee and the list goes on... they'll loot u in the end... seriously, u shdnt believe these online agencies... there ar e a number of stories that many peopl kept paying to the guy in Europe and in the end it turned it out he did not win anything and the whole thing was a fake... but in case u do win, LEMME KNOW!!!! haha just kidding!!!

If you have actually entered the National Lottery and won then well done. If on the other hand you are looking at a "congratulations" email from "Yahoo Lotteries Inc." or some other equally dubious organisation, I wouldn't plan on telling your boss where to stuff his job just yet!

As for ticking the box marked X for no publicity, that is probably a good idea. I don't mind donating to charities of my choice or speading the wealth around my immediate family, but I wouldn't want to encourage begging letters or anything. I know I could just burn them or put them in the bin, but I don't think advertising any kind of large win is a good idea. It'd be an open invitation to burglars.

1. Get a good accountant
2. Have them figure out how to get you the best tax rates
3. Do report it to the IRS
4. Don't tell anyone else!!!
I have a lot of very wealthy family members, and it can cause a lot of strain and bad feelings even in your family, and then there will be lots of scam artists and people trying to make you feel bad for them.
If its yours and you handle it legally, I wouldn't let anyone else know.
5. You might want to move.
6. Do all your contributions in an anomous sort of way or Everyone will be hitting you up for money.

If I won I would donate a huge chunk of it to the Children's Hospital (kids with cancer). I would find random people who are in dire straits and give them money. Needless to say, my winnings wouldn't last long.
How can you enjoy this money if you keep it a secret? You're not obliged to share it if you don't want to and shouldn't let others pressure you. Enjoy it and think about maybe helping others once you've adjusted to your new found wealth. Good Luck.

You should keep it a secret, unless you like the attention. If you do go public you will get phone calls from people you haven't heard from in a long time, they will be asking for money and if you don't like that then keep it a secret.

Congrats!! It will be hard to keep it a secret, but if you could it may be for the best because you wil have many people asking you for some. If you don't mind sharing or saying no then sure....tell the world!!!

Yes as people will all want a share of it, also charities and organisations will bombard you with phone calls, letters etc.. asking for money.

You will find out who are your proper Friend's though as they are the ones who will be pleased for you but wouldn't want any hand outs.

Well done on the win.

a million/2 will bypass to taxes then your companion would be entitled to a million/2. it particularly is a factor of marriage. you will besides tell your husband or you will then spend a ton greater in criminal expenses. The legal specialists wish that because of the fact they choose to purchase yet another holiday abode.
