They were playing poker and someone was found to have a couple extra aces up their sleeve. The "bicycles" are Bicycle playing cards.

Was never spoke about after the chain of events that retired them from this earth.
Seems like they were saddled with too much gear to choose from. in the confusion their tubes were puntured by a rogue nail. The most dangerous ..
All you can say is that ,yes ,after their cycle of destruction.....
