I setup my computer with windows xp at first. But then bought the upgrade to pro. My question is that can i use my old xp home n another computer still? or is it still linked to my main one?

If you buy any upgrade disk, it is conditional on the original programme, and is part of the same licence.. to use the XP Home in another computer, you would have to have purchased the full version of XP Pro. That would have given you a separate full licence. It is the same thing if you buy an upgrade to Vista, rather than the full programme. Your XP licence is cancelled upon activation of Vista, but is available for re-use if you buy the full programme.

By the license you can use it on another computer. And if you install it might allow you to activate it on the other computer over the Internet, but even if it doesn't just call the phone number given and tell them that you are moving it to a new computer and they will give you a code to activate it.

Opps I didn't see the "Upgrade part". License wise you shouldn't do this.
