Don't tell them you love them if you don't! I mostly try to avoid the subject but lately I learned that only leads them on unnecessarily, so I've found the best thing to do is be up front with them. If I don't think I love them quite yet, don't immediately pull out the old "let's just be friends" card, but don't ignore their feelings completely and don't lie to them, either. Say, "I'm not sure what I'm feeling yet"

You take some time & think about things maybe make a list of his good traits things you like about him & then the bad & see. You never know till you try & if you get along well & are friends why not at least considerate. I mean if you are friends thats the start for a good foundation for more but again if you dont like him then you dont like him just be honest with him & dont run if he cant take your answer either way then he isnt worth it anyways either way. Dont punish him just because he cares or likes you if he can still be friends. I know most men cant esepcially when younger but still treat him & it like you would if you admitted it to him. It very much could be that it wasnt easy for him to do. Most guys can open up or admit things like this especially younger.

Just politely say "I really like you too"
But dont you dare tell them you love them back unless you do.
Bad things can happen from that, they could get all crazy thinking you love them. Then you get a guilt trip when you try to leave then you stay longer than you wanted because you feel bad.
Just wait and see, people can grow on you and then you end up loving them. Why fake love though? just fall in it when you do.

Don't tell someone you love them if you don't. You wouldn't want someone to lie to you like that. Tell him/her that he/she will be the first to know when you find that out yourself. For some love happens slower and there isn't anything wrong with that.

No. Just be straight up and tell them. If you're doubting on your feelings then you will never feel what he feels for you.

avoiding the subject has always worked for me. also hugging them and saying, "you're great" works well too.

I think you should just tell them how you feel about them and hopefully they will tell you how they feel about you.Its better then just keeping it inside of you.
