Well it's been 10 years since lived in NYC, I'm showing my girlfriend the eastcoast. Can anyone refresh my memory of parades that is going on in the month of June?

Lots of parades in New York in June. Look at this site for dates and locations:
http://www.carnaval.com/cityguides/newyork/parades.htm#June
(look under the parades - events for June are also listed)
My favorites are Brooklyn Pride (it's also a street fair - held near Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Gardens). My favorite: a huge book sale on the steps of the Grand Army Plaza Library - one of my favorite places to go when I was growing up.

The Mermaid Parade in Coney Island - the same characters (and I DO mean characters) show up every year; it's a lot of fun.

Heritage of Pride Parade (formerly called Gay Pride) is always lively

Also in June
Puerto Rican Day Parade
Philippine Independence Day Parade
Queens Pride Parade
Hare Krishna Parade
Bronx Week Parade

Gay Pride Parade.

Puerto Rican Day Parade (definitely want to avoid the city that day - lots of violent incidents that day including rapes).

I think there's a Brazilian parade, too.
