To answer some of your questions:
It's not terrible pain, just a little uncomfortable...Like I am full of air. I'm 26 years old. I also have fibromyalgia and have been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and have had chondritis before. I also have been in the ER multiple times with an impacted bowel. I'm reading your answers and it's scaring me...Like I am dying. Not good to hear when you are a hypochondriac. There is no history of heart problems in the family. I do not drink or smoke. I do slouch a lot and cough a lot as well. I also don't excercise as much as I should so most of my muscles hurt. I also use Icy-Hot and a heating pad constantly. Any ideas still?

Oh...And I take Toprol-XL for MVP, not high blood pressure or angina. I have normal blood pressure and for the past 4 days I have been having these symptoms my pule has been normal, except last night when I had a major anxiety attack. Of course, it went back to normal though. So, if I was to have a heart attack or was having one, wouldn't last night's episode put it over the edge? I am also not overweight, I am just slightly under, but have gained about 10 pounds drinking protein shakes. I am now 108 and I am 5'4". So, there is no risk factors for cardiac problems. But, that doesn't mean I can't have them. Also, my mother has hyperthyroidism. I have been checked and it has been normal, although, it has been awhile.

I'm also starting to burp a lot and have a taste in my mouth. I've alos noticed that not only does it feel like I am full of air but that I am having hungry pangs. The pressure lessens slightly and for a few minutes after I eat. But, then returns.

My story sound just like your story for sure. I believe it has to do with your FIBROMYALGIA and anxiety as well that follows this condition. Here is a little info about the issue with
1. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain and bloating associated with IBS are common in people with fibromyalgia.
2.Other common signs and symptoms include:
.Depression ,Numbness or tingling sensations in the hands and feet (paresthesia) Difficulty concentrating Mood changes
Chest pain, Dry eyes, skin and mouth
Painful menstrual periods, Dizziness, Anxiety. I Have live with this so long that is sound so familiar but still check with your Doc and maybe change your medication.
I hope this helps you and good luck and I hope you have a DIVINE DAY and take care

You sound like my husband. He has bouts of the same discomfort as you but different in some ways but the same in others. Have you been checked for acid reflux? Some of the medication that you are taking can also be messing with your esophagus. You could also have a hernia or maybe even an ulcer. Even though there is no cardiac disease in your family does not mean you cannot develop it. It could be any number of things but to be on the safe side I would contact my Doctor and describe these symptoms to him or her and see what they say is best. If in doubt go to the ER they will take it seriously and that way you will at least know where to head to discover the correct diagnosis.

Your age? Could it be the change? Other medications, anything time released? They do this to me, anything it seems if it's timed released it makes me have panic type attacks. I have to take the regular and take it more often but it's worth it and it's cheaper too. Also, taking some meds. too close together, try spreading out the times. But, always see a DR. when you have chest pressure or pain, it can be something else. Ask the pharmacist about any new med also, sometimes it's just not for us.

Although it could be simple anxiety, you NEVER take chances with chest pain. Especially for such a long period of time, compounded by your other symptoms and the fact that your anti-anxiety medication did not help. Please go to the Emergency Room. You could be having/on the verge of having a heart attack. Better to be safe than sorry. Go now.

P.S. Topral is for treatment of high blood pressure, angina heart failure, etc! Why would you not suspect a heart attack if you are already taking medication for heart disease!!! You medication dose may also need to be adjusted. Perhaps your dose needs to be raised, or it is too high (beta blockers can cause heart arrhythmia's).

Call 911 and/or get yourself to the ER.

Well I think you should consult your doctor. It may be part of your Anxiety, because in some cases tightening does occur. But it would be best to check with a docotr for your health and safety. I hope it gets better soon, best of luck.

Wow, I suffer from panic attacks and felt something different. I used to drink paroxetine and my muscles would hurt, my arms would hurt and my jaw would tighten. You should tell your doctor about it because it sounds serious. Go to www.wikipedia.com and type in the medicine you're drinking and it will show the side effects.

sounds gastroentestinal..... gastroesopheageal refux problem. however it could be cardiac related.... see someone. If you have had no other symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, palpatations, chestpain, pain going up your jaw or down your left arm it is probably not related to your heart.
