I am of the belief that we should finish one thing before jump into something else. Bush got us into this by duping the American public into believing that he actually cared about the threat of global terrorism. then all of the sudden we're accusing iraq of hiding weapons of mass destruction, now we're dismantling the iraqi government even though we can't find these weapons of mass destruction, meanwhile korea is waving their nukes in the air and dancing around us in circles, but we can't see it because we're too busy draining americas resources in a war that serves no purpose other than finishing some bush family business that the first george couldn't seem to take care of.

so yeah, lets invade iran. why not? half way through we can get bored with that and try to take over uzbekistan.

i really hope not.....but anything small to big can happen at anytime with iran.

if there is a war with iran, hopefully itll just be airstrikes on the nuclear reactors, but if the war is fullscale.....there will be a mandatory draft, something we havent had since Vietnam and im sure that'll be very hellish for this country. especially with the generation now, alot more people will dodge the draft.

bottom line is that we need to pull every single soldier out of iraq(such a bs, illegal war), germany, south korea, japan, and put all of them (i would say about 250,000 american soldiers) into afghanistan/pakistan and GET OSAMA died or alive (i can't believe after 5 years this guy is still on the loose) then we send everyone back home and stay home.

Right now it won't happen. Iran is an unstable country as was Iraq. Iran can't really afford to fight since if the spiritual police are killed off, there is a good chance they will turn into a bunch of liberal hippies complete with drugs from Afganistan and cheery music.

What could really hurt Iran is a peaceful liberal Afganistan and Iraq because they already have a negative outflow of migrants and the Iranians would that don't like Iran can just move.

yarnspin please think before you write, if america locked down imports and exports, there would be economic crisis, oil shortage coal shortage, not being able to export things would for sure turn america into a very poor country most of the money is made from exporting things to other countries, and importing is also as important. As for the iran war, congress would not allow bush to go to war with iran, only if iran launched some offensive against iran then MAYBE, and only with people support. I am against iran war because then we would just deepen our selves into foreign affairs. which is bad. Iran is and asshole. Bush is a dick. Congress are pussys. Some times u got to let the dick **** the assholes, but not in this occasion.

I do not accept it . There are too many innocent people involved . I think we (usa) should help to move all the people of Iran , who want to be free , and that are not part of the war in Iraq , out of that country . Then our soldiers can be sent in , wherever they need to be to finish this war . And this is just an uneducated view of the situation . And I am living in a fantasy world !

i really fear that will happen soon. the U.S. has no right to tell other countries what type of government they can have or anything else. their business is none of ours. i'm not sure i believe in all wars. some are necessary but sometimes not. i think the U.S. is a wonderful country and we have super wonderful guys in our military. there should be better answers to world problems. and why does the U>S> have to be in the middle of everything?

i was so shocked, scared and disappointed in humanity when Sept 11 happened. My thought is that American servicemen should not be dieing on foreign soil. if the world hates us as much as they say they do, then i have an idea on how we can protect ourselves from any further terrorist activity. Bring all Americans home, absolutely all (that want to come) and lock down all of our borders. No imports, no exports. let no one in and no one out ever again! we have everything we need to survive in our country. we don't need to buy anything from any other country. put all of our military on the borders to protect from anyone or anything getting in. we would save trillions of dollars that are now being given or spent overseas. with all the money we would save we could more than fund alternative energy sources. that is my solution.

The possibility of a war against Iran in slim because the peace-at-any-price mentality is strong in the United States, and, because of the appeasement attitude of the Democrat Party and most of the newspapers in the US , and since the rest of the world (with the exception of Israel) won't go to war without America's participation, then don't look for it, unless Iran first uses its nuclear weapons.

It would be a disaster.

The same people who gave us Katrina and Iraq now want to give us Iran. War with Iran (or anybody for that matter) is insane.

George W Bush and Cheney are mental patients with their (middle) fingers on the nuke button and they are wetting their pants trying to be the first to push it.

No Iran war.

We are having a hard enough time finding enough troops for Iraq...where do you suppose we conjure up the troops to maintain force levels in Iraq, fight a resurgent Taliban in Afghanistan and fight Iran?

You might see air strikes but all the reports I see/hear, no one really thinks we can eliminate the threat with air strikes alone.
