You probably want something with minimal sugar. Scotch and water or soda would probably be about the lowest. Tonic water has a fairly low sugar content so gin and tonic. Another possibility is vodka and tomato juice with a touch of Tabasco (I prefer Worcestershire sauce) aka a Bloody Mary. The juice will probably have sugar but at least you are getting some vitamins. You won't get terribly fat on dry white or red wines either. Liquers are loaded with sugar and so are a lot of the mixed drinks favoured by young ladies who think they are sophisticated.

There's no good alcoholic beverage when you're dieting, alcohol is just empty calories that don't do anything for you.

Even mixing alcohol with juices might sound like your doing your body good, but not really, any alcohol will just slow your body down and drain you of energy.

If you're going out clubbing and drinking every weekend and you must have a drink then I'd have to agree with the first answer and try ordering water straight up or on the rocks.

If your simply going out once in a while then don't worry about having whatever you please, the occasional drink won't kill you or make you overly obese.

The main thing is to avoid the highly caloric beers and the cream liquers. You can put rum in diet soda or juice without too much harm. Same goes for most of the hard stuff- a shot in an otherwise healthy beverage is the way to go.

Since booze is not a good diet food at all you should not drink anything. BUT, since you want to drink, scotch has the fewest calories. Rum and vodka the lowest sugars. So scotch and water or soda or rum and diet cola or vodka and lime juice.

Drink Gin and Club Soda with lime (lowest amount of sugar in this drink) and drink shots of tequila. They only way you'll gain weight from these is the late night snacking after...

Alcohol slows down the processes of the liver. You need a healthy liver to process fat. Therefore if you keep your liver busy with alcohol, you are not going to lose weight effectively. Sorry for the bad news, I too struggle with my weight and like to drink. It sucks!

straight alcohol has the least amount of calories. one shot of vodka has about 70 calories in it. you could have that mixed with a diet coke and it'd be only 70 calories. or you could just get a straight shot of it... maybe a little harder to swallow. tho grey goose is a lot smoother than most.

Well, if you were going to want a light beer, Miller Light has only 96 calories per beer. No other light beer is under 110 calories. Any drink will make you hungrier though.

Vodka with club soda and tons of fresh lime. My friends would drink this when they were on weight watchers.
