What would the outcome of a male chiuaua and a female pit bull? I have a medium sized playful and friendly pit bull. When she went into heat this little chiuaua appeared. He would whine and cry at my door at all hours of the day and NIGHT trying to get to her. When she would go out to pee he would try to do his thang with her ut she is still young so she would move too much and I never SAW it work out. But what do you think would happen is it did? What kind of dog would it be? Tempermental? Mini pit? Buff Chiuaua?

theoretically, yes it is possible. You're female would be physically able to handle any size pups that came out, pit bull sized or chihuahua size. But, i ask...why isn't your female fixed? She should have been spayed before her firs heat cycle. Spaying greatly reduces her chances for mammary cancer and she won't ever bleed all over the house. Not to mention she will not attract any unwanted male dogs or try to run off because she wants to find a mate.

Yes it is possible. If you have an agile little guy after your girl , he can crawl on her back and well.... Honestly, I met a man with a male yorkie that could squeeze out of any pen or means he had to confine him (or so he said) He said the yorkie had gotten out and impregnated his female cocker - who was pretty big. I'm sure it could be done. What would the puppies be like? Some would be small and some would be larger. Some would take after the dad and some after the mom. Some would act more like a pit and some more like a chihuahua. Any combination you can think of is what you would get as the puppies would all be different in so far as hair, size, shape personality etc.

OK, before I answer I have to tell you I'm sitting here cracking up at the 'chia pit' thing. That's brilliant. :D

Anyway! My serious answer is that you NEED to SPAY your DOG. If the chihuahua can't figure out a way, another dog will. But don't underestimate him. Stranger things have happened. And if he does manage it, it could make for a dangerous pregnancy for your dog. The puppies, being half chihuahua, could be so small she'll have trouble birthing them and you'll be in for either a sick or dead dog, or some ugly vet bills. And what are you planning on doing with the puppies? Pitbull mixes, sadly, aren't a huge seller unless you're selling to research labs or dog fighters.

As for what the puppies would be like, hard to tell. Mutts are unpredictable. Probably, the litter would be a mix of some more pit-like and some more chi-like.

Yes, it's possible.

I saw one once at petfinder and he looked like a stocky chihuahua.

There are a ton of pit bulls in the shelters though-- you really should have your dog spayed.
