Got this recipe and thought I had all ingredients. But, as I started putting things together, I noticed the recipe called for a stick of cinnamon, not ground. Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on what type of recipe. If it's rather liquid where the cinnamon stick is removed after cooking as in stewed apples, 1tsp should be enough. But if it's for a stew like tajine or curry, try 2tsps. The cinnamon powder will float on the surface of liquids.
