You're right, so then the only conclusion is that God and Jesus are not the same!
God cannot die. Jesus died (Mark 15:37). Therefore Jesus is not God.
God is all- knowing. Jesus says there is something he doesn't know, only the Father knows (Matthew 24:36). Therefore Jesus is not God.
God is not created. Jesus was created (Colossians 1:15, 16). Therefore, Jesus is not God. (Ever really look up what "only begotten" means? It means Jesus was created.)
Jesus was God's representative on earth (John 17:3).
Email me if you need more proof. The bible doesn't contradict itself, it contradicts false doctrine!

Jesus said, "I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God." -- John 20:17

The Bible does Not contradict itself.
Jesus worships God, his Father, because he is God's first creation, not God the creator. He was used by God to creat every thing & every one else. And, he is called "Mighty God" in the Bible, but never Almighty God! Jesus never worshipped himself!

"Jesus said to him: “It is written, ‘It is Jehovah/the LORD your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service." -- Luke 4:8; Matthew 4:9; Deu 10:20; Joshua 24:14
(lord --in all capitals-- stands for Jehovah/Yahweh God)

As far as I can remember reading Jesus ascended back into heaven and is sitting at the right hand of the Father and intercede for us. He didn't go back to Heaven and reattach himself to the part of God that he came off of or out of. He is and so is God and now on earth we have the Comforter the Holy Ghost to be with us while Jesus is away from us. Maybe that is just a childlike way of explaining it but didn't he say something like being childlike? I don't know but what I know and I don't know no more.

i recognize the rote answer to this question yet if fact learn I even have by no skill been able to worship something that walked on 2 legs and by no skill shall. i think of Jesus may well be horrified at this custom too. if fact learn, the so-noted as final technology handed directly to the total beyond and the international did no longer end and the Jews nonetheless do no longer rule the international. i'm able to by no skill worship a racist God. i've got not got faith in such. my very very own God is plenty greater effective than faith. greater effective than any 'Holy" books written by way of guy. greater effective than any tribe or human beings. there replaced into no chosen human beings. the chosen are all of mankind. God speaks the actuality on your coronary heart. If a ingredient sounds silly on your coronary heart, how plenty greater so is it silly to God?

The answer is that Jesus is not God. Jesus was a prophet. Divinity only belongs to God, who is neither a man or the son of man.

"God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill"
Numbers 23:19

Likewise there is noone like God, and no god but Him:

"There is no one like you, O LORD, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears."

1 Chronicles 17:20 (New International Version)

How could jesus be divine if he says:

39Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Matthew 26:39

This verse clearly shows that Jesus and God are two separate beings with two separate wills; therefore, Jesus is not God.

This is also an argument the Muslims love to use.

When Jesus was here, he was in human form. He was an example and teacher. He wanted to free us from religions and He showed us how to have a personal relationship with God.

The Bible does not contradict itself. You just need to ask these questions from the people who knows the Bible better. We all learn. There is no shortcuts to a spiritual maturity. Give it time. : )

Jesus operated on the Earth as a man under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He was and is our example. He also received worship as Almighty God if you recall, after the resurrection.

Where in the bible does it say that Jesus worshiped God?

He was just breaking off a chunk of Himself to use as an example of how He wants you to act.

Kind of like a 1st grade teacher turning around to show the students which is their right and left hand.

It's one of many contradictions that happen when almost 40 people write a book. The best that I can explain is that the bible is supposed to be written by men who are inspired by God, but obviously they all had different inspirations, and when the councils and scholars got together to edit it, they each contradicted each other.
