Should the US retrieve all the uranium it lent to country's outside this country, back in the eighties? If it isn't available to be returned, should the US insist on accountability from these nations as to its where abouts?

If this uranium has been spent, how was it disposed of? Does the US have an effective method of disposing of spent uranium, itself? Has either political party embraced this issue for the American people, or are they still stuck on minimum wage entitlements, for the illegals of California?

US exports of reactor-grade uranium were made under IAEA controls. This means that all use of this material was monitored by the IAEA for compliance with the non-proliferation treaty.

There are several effective methods of disposing of radioactive waste. The simplest would be to simply dilute the waste down to background radiation levels, then place it back into the uranium mines it originally came from. The method proposed in the US is to bury it underground in stable geologic structures.

The biggest roadblock in the disposal of radioactive waste are the people who oppose nuclear power. They are afraid that any permanent waste storage facility will make nuclear power more feasible.

We're pretending it didn't happen. We're pretending we didn't help Iraq with their WMD program. We are denying we ever helped and currently helping India's nuclear program.
Same with Russia. THey are denying that the Uranium found in Georgia was from Russia. I doubt either party will do anything, since both parties are guilty of spreading Nuclear technologies.
