Previous to my diagnosis I always had normal skin and my scalp wasn't oily. Now I have to wash my face and reapply makeup during my lunch hour to deal with my greasy skin and there is no way I could go more than a day without washing my hair. I was diagnosed when I was 19 and am now 23, so I don't know if this could just be normal hormonal changes or if it could be related to psoriasis. I am not taking any medications for the psoriasis. I have tried many products for oily skin and scalp and have not found anything that helps. I am open to any suggestions on how to treat oily skin and scalp.

Wow, I am shocked I have the same problem. I was diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of 19 and now I am 22. I can not go a day with out taking a shower because my hair becomes oily and my skin becomes dry and ruff. I never had an issue with oily hair before I was diagnosed with psoriasis. May I ask how serious is your psoriasis that you feel you do not need to take any medication for it ? Anyways, for my oily scalp I just shampoo it with head and shoulders. Hasn't helped to much but I rather use it compared to T-gel.

I had a 13 year history of psoriasis, though I was in good health otherwise. But these severe large, thick and scaly excoriated plaques on my neck, ears, trunk and limbs ruined the way I was leading my life. I would be with red, inflamed itchy skin for most part of the year and these silvery scales would seem to be erupting without any reason. To make matters worse, blisters would appear over already red and itching skin. It was living hell.

I was treated with various options but nothing seemed to be working. Some of the treatments that I underwent in this depressing period of 13 years included tar preparation, tropical steroids and anthralin. I was also given light therapy many times but everything I tried would give me temporary relief.

And soon, after a few days I would be plagued with the situation again. In one of those moments when I was completely lost I stumbled upon this website just by chance. I read it and felt that as if someone had put the story my life on this web page. I was thoroughly convinced that if ANYONE can cure me of condition, it would be you.

And was I right, or what. I started recovering within 3 days of starting this treatment. Something that had become a painful part of me for 13 years was actually getting healed! My ears are healed and my neck is smooth again!. I am a month into the treatment and I have never felt better in my life!

I found a perfect solution for you to consider: 1. Taking 3-4 baths a week with 2 cups of ACV[The inexspensive stuff in the grocery store is just as good for this application] - soak for 30 minutes then shower for a minute in cold water
2. 3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals to take a tablespoon of [raw from a health food store] ACV in a tepid glass of water. Add a little honey or blackstrap molasses for taste[I
