At work 2 weeks ago, i was putting some rubbish in a bin and i heard a big crack in my shoulder. Nothing happened for about 4 days then it felt a bit sore, i realised the crack caused it. It wasnt too much of a problem, just felt like i slept on it the wrong way or something. 3 days after that i felt the nerve inside my left shoulderblade really being pinched & the pain went all the way down my arm into my little finger. I've been to a chiroprachtor twice, got my shoulder cracked in etc. after the first visit, it was fine for about 4 days, at work im constantly moving my arms around and occasionally lifting things, i've tried not to though. Then the pain came back, i went for a second visit a week later, it was fine for a week and a half but now its come back again. I'm wondering what to do now, someone suggested a deep massage might relieve the tension there, will it get rid of the clicking sound thats in my shoulder ? i have a constant need to want to crack it, i dont know what 2 do.

Sounds like you are having muscle spasms, you need to let the muscles rest for a few days, no lifting and constantly moving. You injured them when you dumped the garbage, usually considered a sprain/strain. Take some Ibuprofen, it will help with inflammation, and pain. Use a heating pad, preferably deep moist heat. A rice sock will give you the moist heat needed to loosen the muscles and stop the spasms. Get a tube sock, fill with rice and tie off, Should be loose but firmish, nuke for 2-3 mins. It will be very hot, place a washcloth between you and the rice sock, so your skin won't burn. Sit back and relax. Try to avoid anymore trips to the chiro, you're wasting your money when the spasms pull it right back out, they don't want to tell you that info, money would be the reason. Anyway, take it easy for a few days, it should resolve itself soon.

I suggest that you visit your doctor and explain to him everything that has happened. There could be a lot of causes for your complaint and one of it could be trauma. Refrain from going to your chiropractor for now or applying deep massage to the area because if we don't know where the exact location of the problem is, it could add trauma to the painful areas.

By your description, pain (or tingling?) up to your little finger could indicate an ulnar nerve problem. Unfortunately, it does not coincide with your statement that there was a crack in your shoulder blade. The ulnar nerve is from the collarbone and runs up to the pinkie of your hand. And in further reading, the shoulder blade is less likely to be fractured or displaced.

So the best way is to really get in touch with an orthopedic doctor. For now, just try to do light work until your doctor gives you the go signal.
