Most of the differences are not in concept but in practice. For example, the Baptists believe that you must be submerged in water to be truly washed from sin and have an understanding of what God expects from you. They state that Jesus was submerged therefore that is the way it is to be done. Lutherans on the other hand do not believe this but instead do infant baptism to wash away the sins that the child carries from being from sinful parents. (Baptists do not believe in original sin) This baptism is generally a simple sprinkling of water on the childs head. It symbolizes the same thing..purification. The Lutheran child becomes a true child of God at his or her confirmation which is when they know the scriptures etc.

Baptists generally do not use specific prayers or customs of worship the way Lutherans and Catholics do. Much less tradition and more meaning in their service.

I was born and raised a Lutheran but came to Christ in a Baptist church. It is my preference but I think you can have a personal relationship with God regardless of what denomination you practice if any. I am not a church goer at all because of the many disagreements I have seen between church groups. I suspect that all of them are partially right and partially wrong in what they do and even in what they teach to some extent. God did not create churches or denominations. They belong to man and should be taken accordingly.

Baptists are also more works oriented. They believe that it is not enough to simply believe in the existance of Christ and God but to base your actions on that belief. I tend to agree with that idea.

To be honest, Baptists are hard to pin down to one set of beliefs. You have some that follow a more Arminian theology and others that follow Calvinistic theology. Yet others have different combinations of each. All that aside, the most striking difference to me is that Lutherans are more sacramental. They view that the Sacraments (Baptism and Eucharist) actually deliver what God promises through them (the forgiveness of sins). There for they are a means of grace.
Baptists instead focus on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to deliver the forgiveness of sins. Therefore it can be delivered outside of the Sacraments.

Lutherans also tend to be liturgical with their worship service, while Baptists are free in their worship.

I have not really seen any kind of rituals or ceremonies in Baptist beliefs. They have interesting ones, though. No dancing, listening to Rock music, and other "carnal" things.

Catholics are Monotheistic pagans. They have rituals and ceremonies for just about everything. They also (LOOSELY) believe in casting spells. Ever seen an exorcism?

[This basic "spell casting" is rooted in the ancient Kaballah, which was a Jewish practice. Much of Catholicism is based in Judaism, though loosely at best.]

between the biggest sore factors between Wiccans is the wrong utilization of the words "Wiccan" and "Witch". Too many human beings use the words interchangeably, presuming that they the two propose an identical element. they do no longer. Wiccan Wicca is a faith, and somebody who follows that faith is termed a Wiccan. now and back that's complicated to wisely define Wicca, and not all Wiccans will define themselves an identical way. staring on the 8 Wiccan Sabbats, honoring the Gods and/or Goddesses, coming up sacred area for rituals, to call some. Many classic Wiccans additionally sense that belonging to a coven is likewise a call for and that people who prepare their faith as a solitary, shouldn't talk with themselves as Wiccan. in my opinion, i'm nevertheless uncertain on that element. prevalent Wiccans additionally prepare magick, and hence are additionally witches. you won't be able to be a "organic Wiccan" from now on than you're a "organic Christian". Witch The prepare of witchcraft isn't linked with any faith, hence you will possibly be a witch and yet in addition be a member of any kind of religions (or none). making use of the organic energies interior your self, alongside with the energies of herbs, stones or different factors to make ameliorations around you is seen witchcraft. although the skills and presents that are element of witchcraft may be inherited from mothers and dads or grandparents, you're actually not immediately a witch purely because of the fact your grandmother might have been one. using magick takes prepare, adventure and gaining knowledge of. On a edge notice, a male witch is termed a witch, no longer a warlock. Pagan at the same time as i'm explaining terminology, i presumed i might throw in "Pagan" as properly. Paganism refers to one among those non-Christian/Jewish/ Islamic religions that are generally polytheistic and are many times nature-based. Wicca is barely one Pagan faith, yet there are others such as Santeria, Asatru, or Shamanism. many human beings do no longer inevitably detect with a particular faith, and purely use the huge term "Pagan" to define their religious course. Pagan religions are diverse and break free one yet another, and that's going to no longer be assumed that they are purely distinctive names for an identical faith.
