in my opinion the answer is HELL no!

but now and again there are certain things that will make this allowable.

1. you are taking care of your parents (sickly. ect.)
2.your trying to get on your feet
3. recovering from an accident or somthing else medical

im sure there are a few other reasons but thats what i could think of.

now, if your a grown man and you are successful, and have no real reason except for shear lazy ness, then get your own place.

Different cultures view this differently. It is quite normal for men in many cultures to live with their parents until they get married.

In some situations, some men share living spaces with thier wives and parents, if it assists both parties in an economical way.

Also, many will live with a parent so the parent does not have to be alone.

In addition, people from many cultures look at nursing home or old folks home as a horrible thing to put parents in.

The way I see it, as long as the situation works for both the gentleman and his parents, who cares what anyone else thinks?

Although, if one is an adult still living in their parents home, they should still take responsibilty for some of the living expenses. Hope this helps!

Well...families vary...but the norm is for guys to get away from home as soon as possible....maybe move in with some friends ...a good first step.

And society today ...at least here in the states tends to look down on men who continue to live off their parents...or even with them...even if they are paying rent. They need to be self-reliant and responsible....something they usually aren't living at home.

So the answer is no...not for long...they should move out sooner, rather than later.(After they are 18)

I am a 34 year old male who got a brain injury at 17. My mother and I live together and split the bills.

Some thing you just can't help...

I see a few shallow judgemental girls who left answers to this question.

Yes they can. My ex still lives with his mother. It really is sad that adult men can't grow up & live on thier own.

if they let you I guess but living w/ mommy and daddy affects certain aspects of your character. romantic maturity is diminished and so is your independence and responsibility. I married someone who lived at home into his 30's. didn't have a clue how to budget his money or save any. Ran back to mom and dad every time we had a fight. sugar, of course their are exceptions but if you're working full time and have the physical/mental capability to be on your own you should be.
