O.K. Since God is the Intelligent Designer your question Threw me a little. But it seems if memory serves that the dead sea was fine until the events of Sodom and Gomorah and the Crucifixion and all the earth quakes etc. caused it enough damage that it never was the same again!

The dead sea simply has large concentrations of salts in it it is very difficult to swim in it Nature designed it that way God may have had a hand in it but then he controls nature Sorry to Preach

God unintelligently desing it. When he realized he put to much salt in it he smited soddom and gamorah. At least it wasn't as bad as when he realized creating dinosaurs was a mistake. He flooded the whole world for that one.

some people in jordan say that many ancient villages are traped under the dead sea. they have historical evidence that these villages belong to the people of prophet Lut who were the first people to be gay on the Earth. Prophet Lut, warned them many many times but they didn't listen until they got their punishment by their villages being turned upside down.

It's dead because the salt content is so high nothing can survive in it,however it makes it easier for the fat tourists to float as it's denser than water normally is.

I think it's due to the high sodium chloride content which is a result of immense heat as caused by its extremely low altitude leading to abundant evaporation.

But I could be wrong.

it is dead because the only outlet for the water and all that the water is carrying is evaporation.
much the same as the salton sea in California.

I think its due to the supersaturation of the salt.. I mean, it will dry out your skin if you spend too much time in it..
