Because I do not 'accept Jesus into my life', or the Christian God as The One True God, I will be punished, and burn in Hell.
Threats?!! Are these the actions of a loving person?
Is Satan speaking through these self proclaimed Christians?
Are their threats of my eternal damnation a sin? Can God truly forgive them? Or are they just trying to bully me? Are they so insecure in their 'faith' that the best they can do is cast stones, and hide behind the pathetic cop out of 'being forgiven'?

How can you enter into the Father's house, if you are not of the family????

No one wants to condemn you. He died so that none should perish.

YOU CANNOT REJECT THE SAVIOR AND BE SAVED-------------COMMON SENSE.

No, punishment via burning in a fiery place for eternity is a false doctrine. The bible actually says that you will just cease to exist for eternity. Only those who are faithful to God will live for eternity. God created us in his image, and most of us would agree that it would be unthinkable to punish an unruly child by placing his/her hand on a hot stove and holding it there for even 5 seconds, let alone for eternity! So why should we think God would do this to us, his children? He wouldn't. The false doctrine of a burning hell was a twisting of a very few scriptures to instill fear into the people. You'd have a lot better attitude toward Christianity if the majority weren't spewing out stuff that the bible doesn't really teach. It's a shame...

Dear R P,
If you knew how to prevent cancer, would it be loving of you to keep it to yourself? What if you ran around saying, "Take this or you'll die!" Would others perceive this as a threat?

It sounds like someone tried to witness to you in an unreasonable or less-than-loving manner. Unless we understand that we have all broken God's law, the idea of hell isn't reasonable. Do you think you are a good person? The Bible tells us that none are good, no not one. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen something (regardless of value)? Have you ever disrespected your parents? Looked at someone with lust? God is pure and holy; His rules are strict. He knew that we would all fall short, but He has to be fair and punish all lawbreakers (not just the murderers and rapists).

Jesus (fully man and fully God) took our punishment for us. We don't "accept him into our life" but rather thank Him for saving us from punishment. When we think of His broken body, we turn from our sin and put our faith in Him out of love and gratitude. When you do that, God makes you a new creature with new desires. He does truly forgive all sins; past, present, and future.

Why wouldn't we want to share that with you? It is the Good News of the Gospel! What you do with the information is between you and God.

Well, a lot of people don't know how to put things in the right way. Jesus wouldn't speak like that at all. He condemns the hypocrites in fact. Nowadays, people, christian or not, forget to treat others with love and is evident in this site even.

God forgives any sin and no I won't bully you because i want you to see how god really is. He doesn't threat and certainly doesn't force people to come to Him with words of fear and hate. Accepting Jesus means to live in His teachings and apparently a lot of us Christians forget.

i'm really sorry if any of us hurt you. I'm sorry for the threats, it's really not supposed to go that way.

God is not a person & hopefully the person who told you this wasn't being snide when they did it. To be a Christian is to accept Jesus as your personal Savior. If you don't want to, don't. I hope that the person told you this out of love. It isn't a threat, it is a warning. They are trying to save you.

You're being just as abusive by asking the question in this manner. You're angry, granted, but calm down and ask the question in a less offensive manner.

I do agree with you, to an extent. It can be angering to deal with such things. You see, to the majority of Christianity, I'm Pagan (aka I'm a "witch".), therefore, I'm already condemned to Hell. What's the point in arguing, really?

You have a right to not believe in cruelty on the part of a deity.
So what is your problem? Is there no religious freedom where you live?

You are misinterpreting what we Christians are saying. We take no joy in the thought that you may burn in hell as you put it. On the contrary, we would like nothing better than to see you live forever in heaven. However, what we say is part of our belief. People who do not believe in Christ will go to hell. It is a simple statement, not a condemnation of you personally.

Like the other poster said. IGNORE THEM..

I do not feel that Satan is speaking though them. Also it is not their insecure feelings about their faith but their piousness about. As if they feel they are right and everyone else is wrong and bound for hell.

My god loves us all and send no one tell hell.

You might not like it or you might not think it is fair, but that is the way it is. You have been told your options. I love God, that is why I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior.

God is God and your opinion about Him does not change Him a bit.
