Too soon, with some guys that would be enough to send them running in the opposite direction. Take a little time first and get to know the other person. Sometimes what you think you are looking for is exactly the opposite of what you end up loving or liking in a person. And besides, the more dates you have, the better you should communicate and that kind of conversation should happen naturally without being forced.

Personally, I think the second date is the perfect time to discuss what he's looking for. Better to find out early and get it over with before you start falling for the guy.
He could be looking for a wife, a long-term relationship, or just an occasional booty call.
It's equally important to let him know what YOU are looking for. If he's not it, he'll appreciate knowing that now rather than spending all that time and MONEY (lol) only to find out much later that he never had a chance.

Yes. Any time early in a relationship is a good time to discuss someone's hopes and intentions for the future of a relationship. It is good to find out early in the relationship before emotions and body chemistry become overpowering.

No the 2nd date is the time to put out. Then you'll know what he's looking for.

he is obviously looking for you. or why would you be out with him. when you ask guys what they are looking for, you are asking a question he has been asked a million times. Be original. be confident that he found everything he wants in you. that's original.

No, christ, get it out of the way as soon as possible. The sooner you two know each other's intentions, the better.

If by "what he is looking for" you mean what type of girl hes looking for.. then sure, why not. but in my opinion it would be better if you can tell hes acualy into you and thinks ur cute or nice.. Good luck.

Personally...I'd save that question for the third (or the very latest), fourth date.
.
Good question to ask though. Good for you.
