I'm looking for a guided tour of Italy for my family and our friends to go on. The problem I'm having is finding something that will be fun for everyone. The youngest traveler will be 14, then there are my brother & I who are both in our early 20s, and the parents who are all in their 50s. I'm looking mainly for a tour that will have a good mix of young people and older. My brother and I basically don't want to go on a tour and feel like we're with our grandparents. If anyone knows of any tours like that, I would really appreciate the info! Oh and we may also have some of our own friends come along, who are also all in their early 20s.

If that is the case then you really don't want a guided tour. Most tour companies have an FIT program. This would work best for you. This program means you book the cities you want and then add day tours in those cities. For the people who want a more structured tour it also expands the options of what you want to do or see. For example If you go to Rome I would suggest everybody does the 2 hour city tour. Then you go your separate way. Anybody who wants more sightseeing tours can add other day tours that are offered like Vatican or the flea markets (great shopping tour). This will allow everybody to enjoy what they want out of every city. The best part is you see what you want not what only the guided tours offer. You decide how many days you stay where you want to go, and what you want to see.
The prices on this kind of tour package is about the same of a guided tour depending on what you add on.
