I read this evening that Jeffrey Dahmer converted to Christianity, namely the Church of Christ, and was baptised in the prison before he was killed by fellow inmates.
According to the Church of Christ, will he be forgiven and did he go to heaven upon his death?

The article I read stated that he expressed repentance in a way that the minister (or pastor...) believed his sincerity and performed a full immersion baptism.

If church of christ theology states he will go to hell... then why would they baptize him?

According to Church of Christ theology
He will BURN IN HELL
ALONG WITH THE ATHEISTS
You got me on why they would baptize him. Why do some of their church members get baptized over and over? They believe sometimes it "doesn't take". Furthermore they do not believe in a Jesus "Who was the lamb that taketh away the sin of the world." They believe you will be judged according to how you lived your life. They believe you CANNOT KNOW IF YOU ARE SAVED OR NOT UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN JUDGED BY GOD. Sort of ruins the benefits of Christ dying on the cross doesn't it?

learn your motivation in being baptized the 1st time. grew to become into it for the superb suited motives? if so, your baptism is in basic terms as valid on the instant because of the fact the day you have been first immersed; you're coated. we are continually going to sin...we may even fall away and are available back back. this is why Christianity is the appropriate faith for imperfect human beings. Oh, and, traditionally, we call it the "church of Christ" (small 'c') because of the fact that is meant to be an define, no longer a attractiveness. :) God bless.

Its only God who could tell whether he was forgiven or not. His body will return to dust for a few years after the burial. His spirit will be under the control of God until judgment comes on the return of Jesus for judgment.. The logic there is How he was baptized, was the command of Jesus as regards to baptism followed? After the supposed baptism, did he ask forgiveness of his sins?

Sorry to say it, but I doubt anyone from the Church of Christ is going to touch this with a 10 foot pole.
I think that, if he truly did repent and accept christ, that yes, he was forgiven.
As a christian, I believe that Christ's blood was spilt for all people, Dahmer included.

I can't speak for the Church of Christ; I don't subscribe to their denomination (or any other). But I maintain that God alone is judge, and no man or woman can say with absolute certainty who is truly repentant in their heart and will be admitted to heaven. But if I had to gamble on it, I'd bet... NO.

I do not speak for God, but I hope he is now such, as to be deserving of heaven or greater, or least constantly gaining in value, and progress.

If he meant it ....yes.I don't like it ,but hey,it's not my universe is it?
Chances are ,being the sociopath that he was,he didn't mean it ,but was angling at something down the road. But I don't really know that ,do I?
