You may have wavy hair that you are brushing the waves out of. Try using a product to make your hair more wavy! The website below is great for curly and wavy haired people.

There are SO many sleeking, shining, defrizzing products out there and they work really nicely. Just look on the shelf! Pantene, Garnier and John Frida have good products. I like "Silk Elements." WRAP your hair when you shower. Shampoo and Condition your hair in the sink when you wash it since your steamy shower kinks it up. Wrap with a scarf and tie tightly, then put on a bonnet or a 2nd scarf. You could also consider a chemical straightener, but I stay away because I have tender hair.

I have a feeling that I know what may be causing this. Are you brushing your hair after you wash it? Instead of using a brush, try using a wide tooth comb to get the tangles out. A brush will just cause breakage on your wet hair, and rough up your hair cuticle causing it to get frizzy and poof! Also, Matrix makes a really good line called Sleek! Great product line for taming frizzy hair and it adds a lot of moisture.

try pantene and do you straighten your hair, if not try that

try a detangler for your hair. L'Oreal makes good one, or even wash your hair with baby shampoo
