You absolutely do not need to starve yourself to lose weight. Just cut down a little on your normal portions and exercise. That's the way it works. Nothing has come along that works any better. The only thing you will achieve by starving yourself is you will ruin your metabolism.

It wouldnt work for too long because you wouldn't have energy to exercise after a while. You would lose a lot of muscle. When you started eating again (unless you plan on dying) your body would probably store every ounce that it can meaning you would gain the weight back faster.
Stick with eating a lower calorie diet and exercising 4 times a week. Talk to a nutritionist or a trainer at the gym.

you would be sick. You could end up in the hospital then when you do eat you possibly may gorge yourself and consume the same amount of calories as you woudl have without staration. thou i think you would keep your musle still but if you do not eat you would not have the energy to work out. therefore you would not benefit at all.

but for a few tips on losing weight work out like 3-4 times a week. then watch what you eat do not stave but eat less. the healthy choices, lean cuizines, smart ones are microwave meals you can eat for dinner they are really good and have less calories then like a candy bar. you could also buy little shrimp from the store adn use them to eat in a salad to make the salad taste AMAZING. also do not skip meals and def. not breakfast b.c breakfast is like kindling on a fire it gets it going and breakfast does the same thing to metabolism. (which is what makes you lose weight).

all that will happen is that you will lose muscle, gain fat, and get sick.

your body will burn the muscle off before it will burn the fat - that is the survival instinct of your body at work - so starving and exercising will not make you lose weight. any muscle that you get from the exercising will disappear.

the only thing you can do to have a healthy, slim body is to exercises and eat healthily. in fact, when you are exercising, the more you eat the more you will burn. eating little amounts more often fastens your metabolism, so you burn food quicker.

Okay im not saything that NOT eating is terrific, but During the summer I diddnt eat a whole lot ( i usually ate a lot of weat thins and carrots and drank a whole lot of water and gatoraid, but I worked out a whole lot) I lost about 30 lbs in 2 mths. It was really easy.

People say that when you starve yourself you just gain the weight right back, but Its taken me about 6 mths to gain the weight back.

Just try to eat at least something everyday, and work out..

You will deff see lasting results, but just be careful

and make sure you know when to stop.
Not eating can be very addictive so if your going to do this please be very careful!!

Your body will go into starvation mode, God made us this way...to want to live. Then it will hold on to every biut of fat you have in your body because it thinks you are starving. Then when you exercise on top of that it will put a terrible strain on your muscles causing cramps and spasms, your other organs like the kidneys, they will become slow and you will retain fluid and maybe loose function of the kidneys, the worst part is the heart muscle will become weakened, it is a muscle and it needs nutrients like calcium, potassium, phosphrous, iron, and many more to work, it will start to atrophy, die, and you will take the chance of having a heart attack. That is what happened to Karen Carpenter and it has happened to many , many more people too. Have you seen the starving babies and children in Africa, are their bellies flat or are they distended...pooched out? That's right, that isn't sexy at all and that is what starvation looks like, the body trying to preserve itself against all odds. So, look at these children who have so little and only want to live to eat and then starve yourself, come on. Get real. Do something with your life besides dwell on yourself and what you may look like, it's not who you are. Go out and volunteer to feed babies or old people, do something and help someone, be a big sister or sit with someone who is ill and see what it is like to really have problems, ones that you can't help. Then you may decide life is worth living, that eating is healthy and starving is repulsive and unforgivable when children really are starving, Work to send money to them, and realize you are so blessed to be born here and not one thing is wrong that can't be fixed in this country. Say a prayer because you have enough to eat and people that care and opportunities that most people don't have. Please stop dwelling on yourself, it will help you. Lord God help this child see that life is given and you love her and you gave her life before she was even thought about, you created her to be a great person, a giver, a fixer, a provider to someone less fortunate than her. Teach her to eat healthy and and exercise in a healthy and moderate way and send people into her life that will encourage her abilities that you gave her to use for the good of mankind. Let those around her know that she needs them. Allow her to get help if she needs it, to ask if she is afraid to ask, We know you are the great physician that you made us and you can heal us, you said to ask and it will be given, we are asking now in your name and your son's name Jesus that you heal this child of yours and make her whole in her heart, soul and spirit because that will take care of the physical. We remind you that you said if we agree you would make it so, and you said where two are gathered in your name you are also, and that you hear us and you know our hearts. We thank you now for all you are about to do and all you have allready done. Amen.

At first you'd lose some weight. But then your body would go into starvation mode and conserve fat. You'd eventually lose the energy to work out. After that you'd pass out and die.

Better to eat smart and work out, rather than starve.

Whata silly person you are...LOGIC should tell you that if you stave and exercise you will loose weight, BUT YOU WILL ALSO loose the ability for your body to function...
IF you want to loose weight why not combine a low calorie diet with an exercise regime.
PLEASE STOP THIS NONSENCE before it begins.
YOUR body is a god given thing and if you mess with ir like starving it you wuill pay the price.

When you don't take in enough calories the body will consume muscle tissue first. Your body will hang onto it's fat tissue as a survival mode. Hence; not only will you not build the body mass you want but you will destroy the muscles you already have.
