What was there before the Big Bang? Let say the universe will end according to the Cosmic Crunch theory, that the whole thing will revert back to the cosmic egg that exploded that became the Big Bang, was there another different universe an eternity ago?

Will there be a different universe an eternity later?

Is our whole universe is simply an eternal rerun show?

You may have to live with the possibility that "eternity" is not real, but just a concept in the mind.

All things that are physically real, in time and space, seem to have a beginning and an end. So possibly no real thing is eternal.

Things that are born and die:
- people
- entire species
- subatomic particles
- the solar system
- empires
- stars
- moods
- atoms
- probably everything else

Interesting, but no.

Eternity is the complete existence of time. All times. Past, present, future.

So there can't be an eternity here, an eternity there. The word means, "all time." "never ending."
If an eternity ended, it wouldn't be an eternity.

I'm not sure that we live in an oscillating universe. However, supposing we did, no each cycle would be different it wouldn't be a re-run.
