I just want to know what the impact of these people, entities, or major events have had on you. Positive or Negative. Meaning, what has been the effect they have had? How have they helped shape you into the person you are today? How would you be different if it werent for them?

Thank you. :)

I would say that the person that has impacted my life the most has to be my mother. She has always been there for me when I needed her the most. I credit her for me being alive to this day. I was in a very bad burn accident 17 years ago in Feb. and the doctors told her that I would not live past 24 hours and I have to say that 17 years later I'm still here. As a child she would always tell me that she's not always goona be here and that I should learn everything that I could. I learned at a very young age how to be a man with great help from her. She taught me how to cook and clean and I thank her for everything that she has done and for everything that she continues to do for me.

I lost my father 9 years ago and he had a big impact on my life as well. Me and my father went through a lot as i was growing up and there was a time when he was on drug real bad but he said to himself that his wife and kids (me and my 2 younger brothers) were more important to him than the drugs and before he passed away he had been clean for about 2 years. He showed me that no matter how bad things are family is the most important thing in the world. Good question man.

You can't live your young life with people and them not have an impact on you. I'm sure you get some positive and some negative because everyone has good and bad things about them. What my family impacted on me was making me a very strong person, my Dad died when I was young, so it was just my Mom and us 5 girls. We learned to work at a very young age for what we wanted and not to depend on anyone else for anything. As far as how a person would be different had they been raised by a different family would depend on the family they were raised by. So that in my opinion would be unanswerable.

Each of us is impacted by what we experience. Our early experiences are, for the most part, connected to the family. So the family has a tremendous influence, mostly because it is the only influence for those early years. That influence carries over into adulthood and gradually lessens as we pile on more and more non-family experiences. But we will be forever marked by those early learnings. There is also a genetic influence which gives us the bodies we have. That's pretty important...and that comes from family too.
