I would buy that if it were consistent throughout the Bible, but it isn't. The description of the god of the Old Testament, Yahweh, is vastly different than the description of the god of the New Testament. I don't even think they are the same god.
The New Testament God is described as not being able to do certain things, like lie or even think evil. Yet, the Old Testament god has lying spirits at his command, admits that he deceives prophets, and not only are we told that he speaks evil but he even creates evil himself!

Rev Kip - The moon God, WTF? and also you're a non secular chief? Explains plenty about the mind-set of fairly some Christians available... *Shakes Head* Do you no longer know that Muslims (and many Jews) hint the origins of Islam back to the first infant of Abraham, who God also stated might want to the be the daddy of an outstanding human beings? So do you carry it hostile to Jesus that his mum and dad weren't christian? because Mohammed depending the religion, for sure he replaced into born right into a distinct one. and those loopy reference you made about the pagan daughters he allegedly worshiped, you want to study somewhat extra. Mohommed fairly denouced all scripture related to them as "The Satanic Verses" and stated such beliefs had no position in a monotheistic relgion. anyhow, on to answering the question. keep in options, I talk of the wider Christian mind-set, and by no potential the truthfully faith itself which preaches tolerance of others... Christianity has never beloved different religions. to contain Judaism. everybody remember the Inquisition? Or the actual shown actuality that Pope John Paul II admitted that the church bore some responsibility for the holocaust because of that is intolerence of Jews? Ever heard the age previous tale that we use the blood of a christian innocuous to make our passover matzah? Christians opt for to piggy back off of our faith so they have a love hate relationship with us, yet known won't be able to denounce us because they did borrow our God and by no potential any opposite direction round. The immediately out hate for Muslims comes from the actual shown actuality that at the same time as Jews merely want to get with this technique, Islam replaced into formed after the shortcoming of existence and hoopla of Jesus. we do not opt for to grandfather clause him in, yet they outright rejected him. Oh, that and Christians seem an intollerant lot because it truly is (a lot to Jesus's chagrin, i'm positive).

In the old testament, people were barbaric, they were sinners to the highest form and did not consider God and his laws. God warned them to turn from there wicked ways or face the consequences of everlasting death.
God loved us all so much that he wanted all of us to be with him in heaven, to live in perfect love, so to do that he sent his only son Jesus, as a sacrificial lamb for our sins. This means now you have the opportunity to ask God to forgive you of your sins and confess them to him because he knows everything about you, even the hidden things. If you do that, and with a humble heart, he will forgive you and welcome you as his child to live with him in everlasting perfection, love and happiness for all of eternity.
