I wouldn't worry about comparing numbers with one another. That doesn't prove anything. What truly matters, is your partner's love and devotion to you, if you are in a committed, one on one relationship with one another. If she's ready to settle down with only one guy, meaning you, I don't see how the past has anything to do with it. If she is still acting that way during your relationship, then she obviously is not into the "monogamous" thing. Some people never settle down their whole lives. I think that truly indicates deep personal problems, but it's everyone's choice, as to what floats their boat! If she goes around making you feel inadequate because she's been around the block more than you, then I'd say she has some big issues with herself. One's past is not really a part of the present unless all 25 guys are there the same time you are! She has an inferiority complex, if this great prowess of hers is always being mentioned! If she's quite young, this can indicate looking for love in all the wrong places too! Many people mistake sex as being the same as love. It is not! Another indication of some inner problems, your girlfriend may not have solved. Has she ever been abused or raped? That can make people repeat this negative behavior, as they become fooled that this treatment is all they deserve. If you're both the same age, and she's been freer than you've been so far, well, we are individuals. You are not twins, and her opportunities do not necessarily have to correspond with yours. It's all relative! You must understand yourself to really be able to understand others. I think you need more self-knowledge as well. You both do! Secure, confident people do not go on about past details. That was then, this is now! Unless the past is unresolved, so you must look deeper as to why this bothers you, and why she keeps mentioning it or why you keep asking her about it. It goes both ways, so be straight with yourself, and maybe you're realizing you need to have more notches on your own belt, as it seems to bother you for some reason. But do that, for the right reasons. To prove something to someone else, is not how it should work. You can only live your life with what has meaning for you and gives you fulfillment and happiness. Forget what others think, it all comes down to you and your heart and soul! And celebrate your accomplishments and goals in life. She could be too easy and you're more discriminating. I'd be more impressed with someone who thought more with their brains rather than with what exists below the belt! No grand accomplishment to have a long list of one-night stands! 25 full in-depth committed relationships would be a different story! Then I'd give her credit for truly trying to find true love! The other thing is only an illusion as to something to feel proud about! There are those addicted to sex who need to do it, anytime, anywhere and with anyone. I saw a show once, and this woman, this sex addict, did it on average, 10 times a day with complete strangers! I'd say if your girl is anything like that, then run! You're sure to get some disease and I'm not kidding!

A woman can change so the questions are
1. Does she understand that having that many sex partners was dangerous
2. Having that many sex partners says something about her mental health (not a joke). As cliche as this may sound she might have some kind of trauma from her past she needs to deal with.
3. Is she loyal to the man or is she working on number 26?
Of course the best idea would be to keep sex out of the relationship ( preferably until married but we are not all saints) until you both know that you have a future together.
If she does not believe that her past sexually experiences were a bad thing she is not a girl I would want to date!

Why does it matter? I would take it that she has had experience and that she would be able to please me more than a lily white virgin. I think guys are hung up on their own insecurities. That is why so many men want a virgin. I am SICK of the double standard. A man is a stud if he hooks up with random women, but a woman is considered a slut if she does it. Sex is good, and we should all be allowed to enjoy it. You wouldn't buy a car without taking it for a test-drive first.

Either catch up, get better at it or stop feeling like you have to measure up ( no pun intended ) to the previous 25+ men. She's with you because she wants to be with you or she's not. If your the one uncomfortable with the fact that she's been around that much, then do both of you a favor and move on. It's either an issue or it's not but I think the choice is up to you.

I would hope, the same way he would handle one that has had 24 more sex partners than he has had, very carefully. The past isn't what matters, it's what is in the here and now, and how you feel about it. If she is flaunting all of her ex's, then maybe there should be some concern, otherwise, The past shouldn't be threatening you, and it should stay in the past.

Deal with her how? What is your issue?
5 or 25 - does it really matter? She is with you know right? Instead of worrying about how many sex partners she had- maybe try to find out why she had so many relationships that went poorly. WITHOUT SHOWING JUDGEMENT~

You may never be able to deal with it. She should not have told you that. The past should stay in the past. BUT make sure she gets an HIV test before you have sex, and still wear condoms. Its a dangerous world out there.

the same way girls have always had to deal with a boyfriend who has had so many more sex partners than she has. It is in the past right?

What you should do is appreciate the experience that she has. Maybe she can put some moves on you that she has learned from her past. Relax and enjoy that you have a chick that loves to get some.
