I have had problems streaming over the net with WinAmp and the shoutcast plug in, so I am wondering if there is a way, or a program that allows me to stream music (internet radio) over the internet. I have all the equipment, I just don't know if it is possible to do in wmp. If it is not possible, what other quality programs exist that would allow me to broadcast over the net?

My experience with streaming media has been done through Windows Media Services. In most cases, it requires two parts: an Encoder and Streaming Server. Both of these can be downloaded at the same Microsoft site. The streaming server known as Windows Media Services is included in Server 2003, but isn't active or installed by default. The encoder you will install on the machine with access to the audio or video you want to encode. You can make direct connections or make the same encoding machine the streaming server, but because encoding can be resource heavy, I wouldn't do that. Instead, you should set the streaming server as a separate machine that polls the encorder for a stream and then distributes it.
This however, makes the assumption that you have full access to a server. If that isn't the case, then you might want to direct the clients to the encoder depending on the load. Without a server, you are limited to a few connections unless you experiment with the audio encoding as to not overload the system while hosting the server. Otherwise, if you have plain hosting access to the webserver, you can save a broadcast and place it on the server witha link or for live broadcasts, you make a link that directs clients to the encoder station regardless if it has a server installed or not. Just be aware of firewalls and IP routing, it can make it a bear sometimes. The links below include the downloads and a simple walkthrough.

sure. i exploit it completely except for even as i'm downloading or searching for brand new music. WMP 11 could immediately discover your music as you upload it, yet when it would not only upload it manually only like you are able to any music. it is going to also save your licenses as a lot as date to boot resembling YJM. weeder
