If you're a Marine and graduated from MCRD-San Diego, I know you can order a picture of your platoon's graduation picture from the Marine Corps Museum on base, through their website. Just search for Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego... that'll give you the main MCRD website, you can click through to the museum... and the order form is right there. I ordered one for my former boss... who graduated boot in the 60's!!

If you're talking about professionally done pictures, you should be able to order them from the training facility. Contact someone in public relations or base administration, to see what they recommend. Same goes for any follow-up training... unless the pictures were candid shots, not professionally done, then you should be able to get copies. That is, after all, why the photographers are in business!

that's a crying shame......does no one in your extended family have any of the official ones? I know when my son graduated I got the package and sent them to every one.

As the people that take the pics have not changed in for ever MAYBE if you write to the place you graduated from they just might have archive items.................

So very sorry for you to have lost them. To be honest along with other papers of course my sons scrap books and all the kids pics are the first bits I gather up should we ever have to leave from Florida, but I also send full CD copies to my parents in another country so have back ups.

That's why you have duplicates made & keep them in your locker or trunk or even ship them home for your folks to hang onto for you. I did that after boot camp & while at Fort lenard Wood in Missouri when I went to boot/Military Police training. I had 17 weeks of training & while usually you get a week or so between basic & your MOS training I didn't so my "graduation ceremony" was postponed another 8 weeks still we had pictures of us doing various things in basic that they still gave us. Good luck. :)

It may take a little work but if you're in the army you can try to find people who were there with you through the army's AKO website.
