he just got home from Japan a few weeks ago hes visiting family in maryland and then getting ready to go to NC to be stationed at lejune things have been kinda rocky lately i wanna do something special for him any ideas

Depends on where you are at. If you can get close to him, sit at his knees, with your chin on one. It will be a moment he will remember. Ask about what Japan was like. Ask what the women are like. Ask if he likes women like that. Play act.
If you can't get close to him yet. Tell him you're calling him just before you're going to take a shower before going to sleep. I don't need to explain what he'll be thinking about.
Special moments are moments he won't forget. Hit him with a baseball bat when he isn't looking. I'm sure that would be something he wouldn't forget. Of course, there are other things he wouldn't expect and he would remember even more.
