Help, Please??!!?

Question

I just bought a new skin moisturizer that is expensive, a worker at Sephora told me its great!?? And it totally irritated my skin!! I just washed my face and reapplied my old moisturizer, but there is a "rash" on my face. What to do? I just took some benadryl.

BTW- its Caudalie mositurizer. Has a fragrance and when I out it on tonight I felt my skin start to tingle right away!!

Yes it does have alpha hydroxy in it. Should I discontinue the use?

Does it have alpha hydroxy acid in it? That could be why. With that, things "get worse before they get better." Call Sephora in the morning or look at the ingredients.

Sounds like you're allergic to the same thing I am-the dermatologist said that Sweet Lime and Lavandin oil in Caudalie moisturizer can cause allegic reactions in some women. The best thing to do is exactly what you're doing. Benadryl for the rash and wash your face with cool water about 4 times a day.
You might have to use Noxzema as a moisturizer until you heal(about 3 days) The pump bottle is more moisturizing than the jar. I, too, wasted $40.00 on a moisturizer that is now in the trash.

You may be allergic to the ingredients...a moisturizer should soothe your skin, not irritate it! I'd take some benadryl and go back to Sephora and ask for a refund.

get vaseoline intensive care lotion with ALOE in it rub it on your skin and put some on any red spots. do this 3 times a day for 3 weeks. Aloe is a medicine plant and heals the skin. After its cleared up put it on once a day just rub it in. Fred Meyer or deptartment store, grocery store.
